Springfield, a retired Naval officer, has
been painting since retirement. He is
known for his use of bright colors and bold images.
His paintings often feature portraits of interesting characters, cowboys and vignettes of the West. He has
12 paintings on display as part of the permanent exhibit at the
Port
of
Plymouth Roanoke River Civil War Museum
in Plymouth, North Carolina.
He is a self-taught
acrylic painter.
